Stay focused. Block distractions.
NoScroll is a focus and app-blocking tool for students and anyone who
wants to reduce phone distractions during study or deep work sessions.
Set focus timers, choose apps to block, and build better habits.
About the app
No account is required. You can use NoScroll fully without
signing in. We do not collect any personal data. If you optionally choose
Google Sign-In, we only receive your email, name, and profile picture as
provided by Google — nothing else.
NoScroll (package name: com.vikash.kr.deepthinking) uses
Android permissions such as Usage Access, Display over other apps,
Accessibility, and Notification access only on your device to block apps
during focus sessions. This data never leaves your phone.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how NoScroll ("we", "us", or "our") handles
information when you use the NoScroll mobile application (the "App").
1. Who we are
NoScroll is a focus and app-blocking application developed to help users
reduce distractions during study and work sessions. The App is published
under the Android package name com.vikash.kr.deepthinking.
For privacy-related questions, contact us at
itskrvikash@gmail.com.
2. What we collect — and what we don't
2.1 No account required
You do not need to create an account or sign in to use
NoScroll. All core features — including focus timers, app blocking, and
permission setup — work without any login.
2.2 Optional Google Sign-In only
Sign-in is completely optional. If you choose to sign in with Google, we
receive only the following from Google:
- Your email address
- Your name
- Your profile picture
That is the only personal information we ever receive, and
only if you explicitly choose to sign in. We do not collect phone numbers,
contacts, messages, location, browsing history, or any other personal data.
2.3 Data that stays on your device
The following is processed and stored locally on your phone only.
We do not collect, upload, or store this on our servers:
- Blocked-app selections and focus timer settings
- Installed apps list (used only to show app names and icons for blocking)
- App usage statistics (used only to enforce blocking during focus sessions)
- Study preferences and focus session history
2.4 Support emails
If you email us for support, we only see what you choose to include in your
message (such as your email address and the content of your email).
2.5 Android permissions (on-device only)
NoScroll requests certain Android permissions so blocking and focus
features can work. These permissions are used only for the purposes
described below:
-
Usage Access: To detect which app is in the foreground
and apply blocking rules during focus sessions.
-
Display over other apps (Overlay): To show blocking
overlays when you attempt to open a blocked app.
-
Accessibility Service: To detect app launches and enforce
blocking reliably. We do not use accessibility access to read personal
content such as messages, passwords, or screen contents unrelated to app
blocking.
-
Notification access: To manage or suppress notifications
from blocked apps during focus sessions, where enabled.
-
Foreground service: To keep focus and blocking features
running while you are in an active session.
-
Battery optimization exemption: To reduce interruptions
to focus sessions caused by the system stopping background services.
-
Internet: Used only if you choose to sign in with Google
or contact support. The App works offline for blocking and focus features.
These permissions are used strictly on your device to power blocking and
focus features. Permission data is never sent to us. You can revoke any
permission in your device settings at any time.
3. How we use information
If you sign in with Google, we use your email, name, and profile picture
solely to identify your account within the App. We use support emails only
to respond to your request.
We do not sell your data. We do not use
your data for advertising. We do not share your data with
third parties except Google (when you choose Sign-In) as described below.
4. How we share information
We do not share, sell, or rent your personal data. The only exception is
when you choose Google Sign-In — in that case, authentication is handled
by Google under their own privacy policy. We may also disclose information
if required by law.
5. Data retention
If you signed in with Google, we keep your email, name, and profile picture
only while your account exists. You can delete your account from the App or
by emailing
itskrvikash@gmail.com.
All on-device data is removed when you uninstall the App or clear app data.
6. Data security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to
protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is
completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You are always in control:
- Use the App without signing in — no account needed;
- Delete your Google-linked account at any time;
- Revoke Android permissions in system settings;
- Uninstall the App to remove all on-device data.
To exercise these rights, use in-app account settings where available or
email itskrvikash@gmail.com. We
will respond within a reasonable timeframe.
8. Children's privacy
NoScroll is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect
any personal information from anyone, including children. If a child signed
in with Google and you want that data removed, contact us and we will delete
it promptly.
9. International data transfers
Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your
own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of information to
countries that may have different data protection laws than your jurisdiction.
10. Third-party services
The App integrates with third-party services such as Google Sign-In and
Firebase. Your use of those services is also governed by their respective
privacy policies:
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the
updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date. Continued
use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the
revised policy.
